November Days of Thanks 2013

This has quickly become a favorite tradition of mine....and this year I have Ava joining me! This should be interesting...

1- I am thankful for my Heavenly Father, who has totally and completely changed me and continues His good work in me daily. Thank goodness He is not done with me yet!
Ava is thankful for peanut butter and chocolate chip (Lara)bars.

2- I am thankful for my Ava Eloise, the one who made me a mama, who amazes me every day with her spirit and her sweet heart. I can not believe how big she is growing and how amazing she is. I am blessed beyond measure to be her mommy.
Ava is thankful for crocodiles (no idea).

3- I am thankful for my Vivian Grace, my joyous, chunky baby. Her gentle, sweet and happy spirit is so amazing to watch. Please don't get any older sweet baby!
Ava is thankful for Chipotle.

4- On Josh's birthday, I am thankful for him! For my partner in crime life, my best friend. I couldn't imagine doing life without him. Bonus: he gave me two super cute kiddos too.
Ava is thankful for Jesus today.

5- Thankful for sweet friends who send me notes and texts of encouragement.  It makes my day and can really change my attitude.
Ava is thankful for Emmitt.

6- I am so thankful today for great ladies who take wonderful care of my beautiful girls while I am at work. Miss Dawny, Miss Cora, Miss Katie, and Miss Tesha are wonderful women who love my girls - I am blessed beyond measure. We love Miss Shea for running such a fantastic daycare!
Ava is thankful for God.

7- Thankful for a wonderful office staff who get along with each other, are hard working, and make my job look easy.  God definitely blessed me with this office.
Ava is thankful for cupcakes.

8- Thankful for Thursdays off with my girls.  For time to snuggle, to play, and to run errands so that our weekends are less full.
Ava is thankful for the pretty sunrise.

9- I am so very thankful for my parents, who are always there to help and who love our girls so very much.  Loving grandparents are definitely a blessing from the Lord.

10- And I am thankful for my in-laws, who are supportive and loving and more than I could have ever asked for.  I love how much they love our girls and how much the girls love their Nana and Papa George.

11- For all of the veterans that have sacrificed so much so that my family and I may be free, I am thankful.

12- For sleepless nights spent awake taking care of my girls. Because it means that I have 2 precious girls that I am blessed to take care of, who know me as mommy. I know of too many women who do not have this privilege.

13- For morning coffee to jump start my brain, especially after all the sleepless nights!

14- I am thankful that God gave me this amazing body, that carried and grew two beautiful baby girls, birthed them both, and nourished them both.  I have never loved my body until I have seen the amazing things that God designed for it to do.
Ava is thankful for Jesus.

15- I am thankful for the blessing of our beautiful home, that we always have a roof over our head, a warm bed to sleep in, and a beautiful view to look at.  It's more than we deserve.

16- For the times that my girls sleep, at least a few hours at a time, I am thankful.  Very, very thankful.

17- I am grateful for wonderful friends who love me unconditionally, and who support me every day.

18- I am thankful that we have found a beautiful new church where we can worship Him in the Spirit, and where we are finding fellowship with other young Christians.  We dearly miss our church in KC, but this one has been wonderful.  Ava's Sunday school teacher, Miss Jill, has been amazing with Ava as well - she truly loves her!

19- For fun date nights with the husband, great conversation even after 9 years of marriage, and for a thriving, beautiful marriage.  Not all are so lucky.

20- I am thankful and enjoying reflecting over my 12 years with my awesome doggie, Newman.  I miss him but am thankful that he is no longer in pain.  Boy do I miss him though.

21- Thankful for my forever friend, Dena, and her always and forever loyalty and love.

22- Thankful for Liz, for the truth and the light that she brings to my life.  God knew that I needed her in my life, someone who know exactly what a physician-mommy goes through.

23- I could not be more blessed to have such an amazing office staff.  I am one lucky physician, because I know a great staff is NOT easy to come by.
Ava is thankful for Emmitt.

24- I am thankful for the simple things that I always take for granted, like the yummy and abundant food in our fridge and our pantry, running water, electricity, warmth in the winter and cool air in the summer, and reliable vehicles that get us wherever we would like to go.
