Pumpkin Patch Extravaganza...Part 2

Part 2, Carolyn's Cousins Pumpkin Patch edition.  This was our second October Family Fun Day this year.  Ava was obviously excited, because she woke at 4:30 am asking for "punkins" and "choo-choo trains."  Despite the very early start to our day, we had a great time spending the day together as a family.

Ava was ready to load up some very large pumpkins!

So big!
We all know how much Ava loves to feed animals now, so that's where we headed first.  Of course she asked for "money, pease!" for the feed.  And dad showed her how to feed the very large goats with her hand open.

"Where we going now?"
Into the petting zoo, where there were rabbits, chickens, ducks, baby goats, and a calf.

"Bunny foo-foos!"

Throwing feed at the chickens.

As much as she likes ducks, she was not so sure about feeding them by hand.

"Daddy feed da duckie"
I am fairly certain that Josh enjoyed the calf more than his daughter did...

Legs just aren't quite long enough to reach the pedals...so dad pushed her.  Such a nice dad!

Some slides, a little fun swinging, and exploring a wooden "choo-choo train."

Ever since she saw Will stick his head in for a picture at Powell Gardens, each time she sees one she yells "I do it!"

She even found a large fort to run around...

...and a corn maze....
...and the day's winner for favorite thing to do...
Feeding the ducks off of the dock at the pond.  We did this twice, of course.

We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.  We had fun exploring the huge field of pumpkins, but decided not to pick one since we already had 3 on our front porch.

These were taken right before she jumped off the chair.  Oh, my crazy child.

(And no, we do not let our 2 year old drink Mountain Dew.  But she insisted on carrying around dad's poison, as I call it. )

Until next time!!
